WikiLeaks, a non profit organization that publishes top secret and classified information, released confidential information to the ‘Vault 7’ series on Tuesday, March 7th.
The classified information involves the Central Intelligence Agency in a major privacy and security violation.
WikiLeaks posted over 8,000 documents exposing the CIA’s tools for hacking smart phones, smart TVs, computer systems, etc.
The complex hacking system allows the capability to listen in on user conversations.
People across the world are genuinely concerned about how this is going to affect the CIA, the government, and everyday smart phone/TV/computer users.
Truman National Security Project member, Bob Stasio mentioned:
"It could be potentially more dangerous than Snowden.”
An update has been released regarding an investigation on WikiLeaks after the CIA stated the files are actually used for spying overseas.
