Barely two weeks removed from the deadly terrorist attack in San Bernardino, Los Angeles and the surrounding counties are once again on edge.
All of the public schools in Los Angeles were closed today after a “credible terror threat” was discovered. According to Fox News, a member of the LA Unified School District Board of Education received a bomb threat in which the perpetrator did not threaten any particular school but “students at school.”
Due to the vague yet credible threat, all schools were shut down. All students and school staff were ordered to stay away from the campuses. All 1,124 schools plus other learning facilities in the county will be searched thoroughly.
“I think it is important that I take this precaution based upon what has happened recently and what has happened in the past,” Schools Superintendent Ramon Cortines said.
The FBI and police are also investigating.
