Breaking: 10 U.S. Navy Crewmen Captured By Iran

Approximately 10 U.S. Navy sailors have been detained by Iranian forces on Tuesday.  According to Fox News, one of two boats used by the U.S. Navy had mechanical troubles as they were moving between Kuwait and Bahrain.  The boat ran aground on Farsi Island in the Persian gulf.  The Iran revolutionary guard detained the navy crewmen.

Iranian news agency, FARS, said that the US Navy sailors were trespassing in Iranian waters.

The Obama administration tried to control the situation and released a statement saying that they have been assured by Iranian authorities of the sailors’ “safety and well being.”  The Iranian authorities also allegedly told the Obama administration that the sailors “will promptly be allowed to continue their journey.”
