Billy Graham's Daughter WARNS America: The Darkness Has Descended
In light of the recent and very serious events that have taken place in the last couple of weeks concerning our children and gender, many are looking to Christian leaders for guidance. Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of the beloved evangelist Billy Graham, has a strong warning to give Americans. Lotz writes in her blog:
"The darkness has descended. It is enveloping our beloved nation like a thick, oppressive shroud. The ignorance of God, His Word, His principles, His Gospel, His love, and His truth is stunning. Grievous. Surely Heaven must weep for these people that God loves and for whom Jesus died who are so deceived."
Lotz believes that Christians in America are in a deep spiritual battle, and it's times to fight.
"If you also are standing on the truth of God’s Word, I expect you are caught up in a similar battle—with family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and maybe even other church members. Jesus gives the basic reason for the battle…Everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. (John 3:20)"
"Join me as we recommit to battle for the truth…to turn on the Light…from our knees. Let’s pray together…"
Lotz has been recently attacked as she stands upon God's Word. She shares an e-mail she received that slandered her and misquoted her. Lotz writes, "My words have been twisted and spun, provoking outrage. The following is a sample of one of the milder, more printable emails I have received:
The following statement is found in Anne’s comments … And that anyone and everyone, anywhere and everywhere, who trusts Jesus Christ to be their Savior will not perish in an empty, meaningless existence, then go to hell when they die. Believe in me or go to hell! That is a fear tactic, plain and simple, and it is not the gospel."
It is sad to see Jesus' words so twisted and unaccepted in our culture today. But it is wonderful to see Christians like Lotz standing up against the tide! Do you agree? Do you notice a growing hostility toward Christianity in America? What do you think we should do? Let us hear your thoughts in the Comments! Thank you!
