American evangelist and Christian author Beth Moore recently opened up about the unexpected loss of her family pet—a bird dog named “Geli.” Geli had been a part of their family for several years.
Moore is famously known for her Christian books, many of which were bestsellers including "Breaking Free" and "Praying God's Word."
On social media, Moore first asked for prayers when their dog went missing. Later that evening, Moore’s husband Keith sadly found her body in the woods. They believe a coyote attacked her.
“24 hours since we found our beloved dog lifeless in the most brutal way,” Moore stated. “Our family laid that sweet girl to rest today. We’re brokenhearted.”
Unfortunately, Moore and her daughter heard the “horrifying yelps and sounds” when their dog was being attacked. At the time, they didn’t suspect that it was Geli.
Other Christian evangelists, including Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church, and fans sent their love and prayers to Moore’s family.
This sad news comes shortly before Moore is set to appear at Saddleback Church in California. She and Rick’s wife, Kay Warren, will speak about their “#MeToo” experience with abuse and harassment.
Please keep the Moore family in your prayers during this difficult time. In other recent news, the White House responded to the end of the government shutdown.
