O.J. Simpson, 70-year-old former NFL running back, has become a very well-known name following his professional football career and the infamous murder trial in 1995. Simpson was accused of murdering ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Ultimately, he was found not guilty on both counts of murder.
However, in 2007, he was arrested in Las Vegas after being involved in a kidnapping and armed robbery. He was reportedly attempting to retrieve some of his property, but was sentenced 9 to 33 years in prison. Since his sentencing in 2008, he has been serving time in a prison near Lovelock, Nevada. In July of 2017, he was granted parole and is set to be released in October.
Immediately after the decision was made, Simpson seemed extremely thrilled, mostly excited to soon be able to be with his family. However, according to TMZ, Simpson’s lawyer revealed that his client is upset about one thing.
While Simpson awaits for the word on determining if he can reside in Florida with family members, he is feeling alone and bored. For safety concerns, Simpson was moved into an isolated cell away from other prisoners.
The former football star reportedly misses his prison job, commissioner of a softball league, and being around others. Fortunately, he may still get the opportunity to say his goodbyes before being released sometime next time month.
