In a viral video, an army vet spoke out on President Donald Trump’s bold decision to ban transgenders from serving in the military. John Burk first posted the video on his personal Facebook page, which has been viewed over 8 million times.

The video explained Trump’s reasoning for the ban, “We all know now that Trump has put a ban on transgenders serving within the military. As of now progressives are trying to use this as a tactic by saying that Trump is anti LGBT. I don’t see that as the case whatsoever.”

He then discussed the stresses of serving in the military, which is why a psychological disorder bans anyone from military service. He continued, “The most recent article published by the American Psychiatric Association has stipulated that gender dysphoria is still qualified as a psychological disorder.”

“I don’t see this as being discriminatory in any way shape or form...the military is not a social experiment. For a very small demographic of people that want to enlist, you cannot change the course of how the entire organization works.”

Burk also defended Trump’s comment on increased costs. He revealed that the sex change operation and hormone replacement therapy is completely funded by the military.

He ended with, “There has to be a standard and it cannot be crossed. I do support this...I know if we put it to a vote to people with in the military, I think the results would be very overwhelmingly in favor of Trump’s decision and ultimately, that’s who it affects the most.”

Watch John Burk’s video below. Others have also spoken out in defense of President Trump’s decision. Among the Trump supporters is Christian evangelist Franklin Graham, who called Trump’s change a “bold move”. If you agree with Burk's remarks, please share this story on your Facebook page.
