An Old Man Appears On A Game Show In 1956… He REVEALS One Of America’s Biggest Secrets

In 1956, Samuel J. Seymour from Maryland, appeared on the hit game show “I’ve Got A Secret.” At the youthful age of 96, Seymour had one big secret that he needed to get off his chest.

The event he describes happened 91 years prior when he was only 5 years old.  It was on the evening of April 14, 1865 when Seymour saw John Wilkes Boothe assassinate president Abraham Lincoln at the Ford theater.

Seymour described Lincoln’s assassination as being unpleasant and that he had been scared to death when the events unfolded that night.  He remembered seeing Boothe jump down from the balcony to the stage, breaking his leg in the process.

This video serves as a shocking reminder to just how young our country really is.  America is only several generations from her origins.
