Tad Cummins, an ex-forensics teacher, accused of abducting Thomas, a 15-year-old high school freshman on March 13, reportedly left a note for his wife on the day of their disappearance.

Tennessee District Attorney Brent Cooper spoke to ABC Action News http://www.abcactionnews.com/news/cummins-left-note-for-wife-on-day-of-disappearance and told them that Tad Cummins left a note for his wife the morning he disappeared with Elizabeth.

Cooper did not share specifics of the note, but told the news station it appeared as though the note was intended to buy the Cummins more time.

According to the same report, investigators believe that Cummins knew he would be seen on surveillance cameras when he was spotted at an Oklahoma City Walmart with Elizabeth Thomas on March 15. That sighting might have been a diversion tactic, like the note.

Elizabeth Thomas is a white female possibly with red hair and hazel eyes. She is 5 feet and weighs around 120 pounds.

Cummins, is believed to be armed with multiple guns, is a white male with brown hair and eyes. He is six feet and around 200 pounds.

They could be traveling in a silver Nissan Rogue with Tennessee tag 976-ZPT.
