UPDATE: AMBER Alert canceled. Girls found safe. Read the updated story.

An AMBER Alert has just been issued for two young children considered be in huge peril.

According to the Idaho Statesman, 7-year-old Madison Dundon and 6-year-old Jaylynn Dundon of Idaho have been reported missing.

The suspect is their dad, 29-year-old Joshua Dundon, who has joint custody of the girls but has not returned them.

Police found Joshua’s truck burned on May 11 in Eureka County, Nev. The truck appeared to be burned intentionally, and several used ammunition casings were found with it.

Joshua has a history of using illicit drugs and making suicidal statements.

The girls were last seen at an elementary school in Idaho, but Joshua told witnesses he was going to take them camping nearby.

Eureka County Sheriff Keith Logan is afraid Joshua may be ready to escalate things.

He explained, “[Joshua is] prepared for, based on the amount of ammunition he has, something greater than we already are dealing with.”

He added, “But we’ve very worried, and we would rest a whole lot easier if we could find these two young ladies,”

Please keep an eye out for them and notify authorities if you have any clues.

Joshua is a white male, 150 pounds, and 6 feet tall. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Madison is a white female, 7 years old, 40 pounds, and 4 feet tall. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Jaylynn is a white female, 6 years old, 3 ½ feet tall, and 25 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and pierced ears. Also look for a scar over her left eye.

Police also advise the public to look for a yellow pit bull that could be with them.

Please share this with your friends and family and help authorities find them!
