Alabama Boy Throwing First Pitch Gets Heartwarming Surprise

Kamryn of Montgomery, Alabama, got a special surprise as he stood on the pitcher's mound to throw the first pitch during a minor league Montgomery Biscuits game at Riverwalk Stadium.  A video from his dad, Tech Sgt. Gabriel Phillips, appeared on the scoreboard telling his son that he wished he could be there with him and his mom but letting him know he'd be home in a few weeks.

But the biggest surprise came after Kamryn threw the overhand pitch and the catcher returned the ball to him, pulling off his catcher's mask to reveal his dad. The young boy seemed shocked and confused at first, but was all smiles as his parents embraced him with tears in their eyes.

A truly heartwarming surprise for a boy who, according to The Huntsville Times, had not seen his father for 6 months.
