After Police Officers Attacked At RNC Protest, Police Chief Decides To Do THIS
The protests outside the Republican National Convention today turned violent as demonstrators burned an American flag and fought with police officers.
According to Cleveland.com, a group called the Revolutionary Communist Party staged the much-advertised flag burning, but when police tried to move a hyped-up crowd back as people rushed in, a fight broke out, minorly injuring two officers. Some arrests were made. Nearby firefighters extinguished the blaze.
Fox 8 journalist Doug Herrmann witnessed a scene a short time later as Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams led a prayer circle.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Chief Williams sent a video message last week to the Dallas Police Department to tell them that he and his officers were still praying for them in the wake of the attack that killed five officers.
Please continue to pray for the safety of law enforcement officers well and for comfort for the families of those killed.
