North Carolina has been hit by another boycott today, this time by the Athletic Coast Conference, which like the NCAA, is relocating their championship games somewhere else in protest of the state's "bathroom bill," which simply states that people must use public bathrooms that match their biological sex.
Steadfast Gov. Pat McCrory has always been quick to respond to these types of boycotts, but today he decided to respond to the ACC from a new angle, telling them to not worry about boycotting North Carolina because the whole transgender bathroom issue would soon be resolved.
In his official state website, McCrory wrote, "The issue of redefining gender and basic norms of privacy will be resolved in the near future in the United States court system for not only North Carolina, but the entire nation. I strongly encourage all public and private institutions to both respect and allow our nation’s judicial system to proceed without economic threats or political retaliation toward the 22 states that are currently challenging government overreach."
