Celebrities are sending their support to people in Houston and other parts of Texas affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Hurricane Harvey brought "unprecedented" flooding to Houston after making landfall in Texas as a Category 4 hurricane on Friday.
On Tuesday, Houston and nearby towns received 50 inches of rain, causing flooding that left an estimated 30,000 people in need of shelter, according to FEMA.
Here are celebrities who are helping out and donating to Hurricane Harvey.
Kevin Hart jump started the celebrity fundraising for people affected by Hurricane Harvey. On Instagram, he started the “Hurricane Harvey Relief Challenge,” announcing he was donating $50,000 to the Red Cross to help victims and calling on his fellow celebrities to do the same. If you’d like to donate to his fundraising campaign, you can do so via Crowdrise. So far, his campaign has raised more than $500,000.
Sandra Bullock announced she is donating $1 Million to the American Red Cross. She said she was happy to donate the huge sum.
Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt started a fundraising effort that has raised millions. Through YouCaring, Watt has raised more than $3 million to help victims of Harvey’s devastation. “Hurricane Harvey has taken a catastrophic toll on our great city while leaving many stranded and in need of assistance,” he wrote on the fundraising page. “We will come out of this stronger than ever. We are Texans.”
The Kardashian family has pledged to give $500,000 to the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army to help those affected by the flooding. “We have been watching the heartbreaking footage of the catastrophic flooding in Houston and our hearts go out to the people of Texas,” she wrote.
Dwayne Johnson was called out by Kevin Hart, and stepped up to the challenge, donating $25,000 to the Red Cross. He talked about how he and his family were hit hard after Hurricane Andrew in the 1990s, and urged people to donate what they could to the Red Cross.

The celebrity couple announced they were each going to donate $25,000 to the Red Cross. “We just want to do our part to help,” Lopez said. “At the end of the day, we’re all one, we’re all in this together.”
