2018 is starting well for Gwyneth Paltrow. The actress just announced she is engaged to her producer boyfriend Brad Falchuk.
“We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship,” said the couple in a joint statement reported People.
Good Morning America revealed that the couple will be on the cover of Paltrow's "Goop Magazine." In the magazine, they'll share "some sweet messages about their love and how happy they are to be taking this next step together."
Paltrow, 45, and Falchuk, 46, are just now commenting on their engagement, but there have been rumors for a while. Entertainment Tonight reported that the couple has been engaged for a year.
The couple has kept their relationship low-key. They've been quietly dating since Paltrow split from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in August 2014. Martin and Paltrow had been married for 11 years, and they had two children together: Apple, 13, and son Moses, 11.
However, it appears that Martin has welcomed Falchuk into his life and the life of his children. In November, the actress shared a picture on of Martin hanging out with her Falchuk.
“Sunday brunch #modernfamily,” the 45-year-old captioned the snap, showing both men smiling at the camera.
A source also told PEOPLE that “Chris and Brad have met several times,” adding that “Chris accepted Brad a long time ago.”
The couple is bringing together two families. In addition to Paltrow's two children with Martin, 40, Falchuk also has two children, Brody and Isabella.
An insider told People that Paltrow knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Falchuck because of their similar interests and aspirations.
“She has many creative ideas on how to spend the rest of her life, and Brad will help make these ideas happen,” said the source. “Gwyneth is interested in everything about Brad. She has found the right guy.”
Congratulations to the couple! In other news, fans are outraged by a "hypocritical" outfit worn by one actress and singer.
