Some young boys want to be a fireman when they grow up. Or a police man. Or in the military.
But according to WBIR-Knoxville, Carter Lawson wants to be a mailman, and he's already training for the job.
The Tennessee 4 1/2-year-old's hero is a mailman he calls "Mailman Mike" who delivers in his neighborhood. Carter befriended Mike and now walks through the neighborhood with him, helping him deliver mail and talk with neighbors.
Carter even has his own little mailman uniform.
Mike told WBIR, "Every letter carrier has stops he looks forward to and this is the one I look forward to everyday."
Last week, Carter got a tour of Mike's post office to see the other half of his job. To make the event extra special, Mike's fellow letter carriers lined up to meet him, held up a banner reading "Welcome to the US Postal Service Carter," and made him an honorary mail carrier. A video report records the heart-warming event.
