Alert: More Than 400,000 Kitchen Appliances Recalled Over Fire Risk

The United States Product Safety Commission recently expanded a recall for certain kitchen appliances. Over 400,000 dishwashers, including various brands and models, are affected by the massive recall.

BSH Home Appliances voluntarily issued the recall after receiving five reports of the power cord overheating and sparking a fire. Fortunately, no injuries or deaths have been reported at this time.

CPSC posted the recall information on October 20th of 2017. According to the site, over 100,000 of their products were also recalled roughly two years ago for the same reason.

The dishwashers affected include a number of different models under four different brands—Bosch, Gaggenau, Jenn-Air, and Thermador. See the full list below. Note: This list includes those recalled in 2015 and 2017.
