When "Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson took the stage at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland yesterday, he once again proved that despite being a reality television personality, he is the same person everywhere.
Sporting a blazer but wearing his trademark American flag headband and his iconic beard, the Duck Commander CEO had the crowd roaring during his brief speech. Here are three of the hilarious highlights.
Willie: I've always said that me and Mr. Trump have three things in common. We're both successful businessmen, although I flew commercial here, so I'm guessing he didn't. We both have had hit television shows. And we both have intelligent wives who are much better looking than we are. (Pauses for applause) Are you cheering because we're ugly?
Willie: It's been a rough year for the media experts. It must be humbling to be so wrong about so much for so long. But, I have a theory about how they missed the Trump train. They don't hang out with regular folks like us, who like to hunt and fish and pray and actually work for a living.
Willie: Now [Trump] may not always tell you what you want to here. You may not always agree. And it may not always be politically correct. But when your father is Phil Robertson, I'm used to that.
